Jackpot Records of Portland, Oregon recently gave very kind reissue treatment to the third and final LP from Dutch garage punks The Outsiders. You may have seen them before on the Nuggets compilation expanded box set.
“CQ” spans R&B, spacey experimental numbers, folk rock and a revved-up kind of punk that pre-dates the angular moodiness of what would become the no wave/post punk sound a decade later. This unpredictable stylistic approach, when coupled with across-the-board amazing songs, make this one of the masterpiec-es of late 60′s psychedelic garage rock, and a cornerstone album of the genre.
Boys and girls we have some killer singles in from super cool Parisian label PLASTIC SPOONS!! Including…out of print ones from favorites Flight and the Fresh & Onlys! Not to mention HoZac bands Rayon Beach and Mess Folk. Check out the nice artwork, sample some tracks, and get on these before they are gone!!
